At Monday morning assembly, the new cadet senior leadership team for the 2026–2027 school year was announced!
Our Commanding Officer, Captain James Skafte, thanked the current cadet senior leadership team for their contributions to the Corps in 2025–2026. They are:
Company Sergeant Majors: MWO Colton ’26, MWO Cam ’26, MWO Casey ’26, and MWO Ezra C. ’26
Pipe Major MWO Ezra S. ’26, Drum Major MWO Christian ’26, and Band Sergeant Major MWO Kao ’26
Training Sergeant Major and Master of Ceremonies MWO Molly ’26, Corps DSM MWO Chris ’26, and Cadet Corps RSM CWO Will ’26
Congratulations to this team on your excellent leadership!
RSM Will ’26 and DSM Chris ’26 were both presented with a Silver Maple Leaf coin from Captain Skafte. This silver coin is made by the Royal Canadian Mint and was chosen because the maple leaf appears on our national flag and is an emblem that represents our country. It is a tradition of the 254 that the Commanding Officer presents the RSM and DSM with a coin in recognition of their leadership.
The leadership team for 2026–2027 then received their promotions and appointments, starting with the Company Sergeant Majors (CSMs).
- Alpha Company CSM: MWO Brin ’27
- Bravo Company CSM: MWO Laura ’27
- Charlie Company CSM: MWO Emery ’28
- Delta Company CSM: MWO Addy ’27
- Pipe Major: MWO Willoughby ’29
- Drum Major: MWO Max ’27
- Acting Band Sergeant Major: Sergeant Caleb ’30
Training Sergeant Major is MWO Rowan ’27. He is the third-in-command of the Corps and also has the very important role of Master of Ceremonies at all ceremonial parades. He has a vast amount of cadet experience from regional expeditions, summer camp, and competing at the Zone Marksmanship Competition.
Drill Sergeant Major (DSM) is MWO Jacob ’27. He impressed us with his sharp drill, dress, and deportment. Throughout the year, he displayed strong leadership skills as the Platoon Warrant Officer of Platoon 12. He received the Bullock Trophy for Top Platoon Warrant Officer at the Annual Cadet Review.
Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) is CWO Lillian ’27. She has set a very high standard and is a leader of leaders. She completed the Drill and Ceremonial Instructor course at cadet camp (CTC Argonaut) last summer, competed in Zone Marksmanship and Provincial Biathlon, attended music workshops and regional cadet expeditions, and continually raises the bar for others to follow. This year, she served as the Drill Instructor Warrant Officer. Promoted to Chief Warrant Officer and appointed as the RSM of the 254, congratulations to CWO Lillian ’27!
Ladies and gentlemen, the leadership of the Corps.
