254 King’s-Edgehill School Highland Cadets Shine at Zone Biathlon Competition - Issue 31

This weekend, cadets representing the 254 King’s-Edgehill School Highland Cadet Corps competed with pride at the Zone Biathlon Competition (CCOBCS Stage II for Nova Scotia Southwest). Captain Pam Hansen and Warrant Officer (WO) Tove ’26 were there to coach, encourage, and support the team throughout the event.

Biathlon is an exciting sport that combines endurance, marksmanship, and determination. It challenges competitors both physically and mentally. Our cadets rose to the challenge and delivered outstanding performances, with every team member earning a podium finish.

The results were impressive:
Warrant Officer Emery ’28 earned first place (Senior Girls) in her first biathlon competition. Emery shared, “It felt great because everything I trained for came together when it mattered.”
Corporal Ewan ’30 captured first place (Junior Boys) and summed up the experience simply: “Winning!”
Warrant Officer Lillian ’27 earned first place (Youth Women’s) and said the competition motivated them even more: “This just makes me want to keep training and get even better.”
Sergeant Hyatt ’28 also earned third place (Senior Boys), sharing an important lesson learned: “It showed me that if you put in the work, it really pays off.”

We are incredibly proud of the cadets of the 254 for their dedication, teamwork, and positive attitude. Their success reflects the effort they put into training and the way they support one another. Congratulations on an outstanding competition!
