On Tuesday, April 7 in Stanfield Hall Dining Room, the annual Senior School Art Exhibition held its opening reception.
What is so enlivening about viewing the students’ work is the individuality and authenticity expressed in each piece. For Grade 12 IB students, the exhibition includes a curatorial statement — a significant piece of writing that charts their journey and inquiry into making art. These statements are fascinating to read and often provide insight into the students’ cultural, intellectual, and emotional perspectives.
Students in Grades 11 and 12 can be very proud of their work and of the courage it takes to share their personal perspectives through drawing, painting, sculpture, lens-based art, and video.
Congratulations to all involved.
