Welcoming Our New International Students - Issue 1

Over the past two weeks, I, along with fellow faculty members and a few student helpers, have had the absolute pleasure of welcoming over 60 multilingual learners for two weeks of learning and exploring during our ELL (English Language Learning) camp. From classroom sessions and on campus activities to excursions to surrounding areas, our campers are quickly learning about life in Nova Scotia.

One of the highlights for me has been all the positive feedback faculty have been sharing about this group of students, specifically their willingness to learn and their positive and friendly attitude. I'd like to say a big thank you to all who have been involved in this camp and to the students and their families for coming to KES and embracing this new experience wholeheartedly. I hope you enjoy the photos that show only a glimpse of all the fun we have been up to.
