Senior School Play Spotlight: Prarthana ’29 and Fedora ’27 — Issue 28

This week marks the Senior School production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Our cast and crew are in full swing, with one of the three performances already completed. Their confidence and abilities have been reaffirmed as they step under the spotlight once again.

Seeing our students bring the magic of Shakespeare’s classic comedy to life is certainly a treat you do not want to miss, so please consider attending one of the remaining performances below:

Friday, April 10 — 7:00 pm
Saturday, April 11 — 2:00 pm

Tickets for general admission are $10, and tickets for seniors and children under 12 are $5. They can be purchased at the door or online at:

While the cast’s talent shines onstage, much of the production’s success is made possible by the incredible work of the stage crew behind the scenes. To give credit where it is due, we would like to introduce two of the students helping ensure the production runs smoothly.

Prarthana ’29
Prarthana ’29 is a day student from India in her first year at King’s-Edgehill School. She is a member of the backstage crew and values the fulfillment of volunteering and supporting the theatre community. Prarthana appreciates how the theatre program offers opportunities for students of all grades to get involved.

She was inspired to join the performing arts after seeing the enjoyment and dedication of other students and encourages others to do the same. For Prarthana, theatre is a great way to overcome fears and step outside one’s comfort zone. She is excited to continue developing her backstage role and supporting both the cast and the production.

Fedora ’27
Fedora ’27 is a boarding student from Nigeria in her third year at King’s-Edgehill School. Fedora plays an important role backstage, helping ensure the production runs smoothly while supporting the cast.

She values the creativity of theatre and the way productions bring the community together. Fedora believes that exploring the performing arts can strengthen confidence and teamwork while allowing students to step into new roles and perspectives.

When asked what she would like to share with the community, Fedora said:
“The performing arts are about teamwork and creativity. I think everyone should come support and experience our production!”

We hope you will join us this weekend to see the results of months of hard work and dedication. Come experience the wonder and humour our cast and crew have created.
