Voices of the Future: KES Students Campaign for Leadership Roles

It’s not just election season nationally – KES is also launching our internal elections for student leadership roles, including head students and prefects.

At Wednesday’s assembly, head student candidates took the stage with passion and courage to share why they’re running and why their peers should vote for them. Before this, all head student and prefect candidates participated in interviews to gain real-world experience applying for a leadership role.

The head student vote will take place on Tuesday, with results announced in assembly on Wednesday. Prefect speeches will follow, with that vote scheduled for the following week.

Meanwhile, candidates for council head, Grade 11 stewards, and KES Buddies (mentors for new students) are actively submitting their applications.

We’ve had an outstanding group of student leaders this year, and we’re excited for the next generation of KES leadership to emerge!
