Godden (French), Ruth

Edgehill (1972-1976)
Passed away May 27th, 2020
With saddened hearts, on May 27th, 2020 the family of Ruth Godden (French) said goodbye to an amazing woman. At the age of 61 years and after a courageous battle with cancer, Ruth passed in St. John’s, NL in the comforting presence of her children Nicole and Daniel. Predeceased by her parents Edwin and Mary Godden (Seviour), sister Susan, and brothers-in-law Ellis Stuckless and John Nichol. Ruth will be forever loved and missed by her daughters Nicole and Julie (Dan), son Daniel, sisters Rosann Cashin (John), Gillian Godden, Mary Stuckless (Ellis), and Edwina Godden (Naz); brother Arthur Earl (Iva), aunts and uncles, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, colleagues and others that she has impacted. Ruth will always be remembered for her generosity, love of family, her welcoming spirit and ability to make each niece and nephew feel like Auntie Ruthie’s favourite. A very special mention to close family friends Joseph Tapper, Darlene Lundrigan and Bernice Pond. She felt blessed to have you all in her life. In compliance with Ruth’s wishes, cremation has occurred, and a celebration of her life will take place at a future date.
