Carpentry Club

The Junior School Carpentry Club meets once a week.  Our recent project came together quickly as we built benches for our campus. Benches are an ideal project as they engender friendships, relaxation, and allow us moments to take in the view of our lovely campus. I led Lucas Martin, Joe Power, Adrian Tse and Mathew Power as they were buzzing saws, drilling connections, measuring angles and planning our first effort. Lucas spoke in front of the entire Senior School and presented the bench to Ms. Schafer to place where she thought it would be of the most use to all.  Adrian Tse and I made a small tough bench for the Junior Boys’ Locker Room this week as well.  Next week we hope to assemble an all-girls team of carpenters as we construct our third bench which would look great beside our fire pit!
