King’s-Edgehill School is an amazing School. We are blessed to have remarkable students, dedicated teachers, inspired coaches, and wonderful benefactors. However, the world in which we live is not static. Educational institutions continue to improve. We must continue to innovate and excel in order to maintain our leadership position among Independent Schools both nationally and internationally.
Not unlike most other Independent Schools, KES raises 85% of its operating budget through tuition fees. The remainder of operational costs along with the extras like facility upgrades, programme enhancements, new buildings and scholarships are funded by our generous community of Families, Alumni, Faculty and Friends of the School. We have been blessed to have had dedicated benefactors over the years including the late Ted Canavan ‘40, the late Elliot Spafford, and the late David K. Wilson ‘47 who together funded the Ted Canavan Athletic Centre. As well, the Fountain Family was the driving force behind the Fountain Performing Arts Centre. Several other buildings on campus were made possible by the late Margaret McLellan and many scholarships and financial aid opportunities for students are a result of the philanthropy of our aging Alumni and Friends of the School. |
