Senior School Play Spotlight: Tammy Oyebanji and Molly Dickinson — Issue 19
This year’s Senior School play is the classic Shakespearean comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Our cast and crew continue to refine their comedic delivery while working to clarify Shakespeare’s poetic language and chaotic, interconnected storyline.
Recent rehearsals have focused on the opening scenes, helping students understand how the magical and mischievous events unfold. In a production that thrives on deliberate chaos, a coordinated and supportive cast is essential. To strengthen camaraderie, students have participated in teamwork exercises, including the social deduction game Mafia, which cast members noted as a highlight.
We are pleased to spotlight two graduating students who are bringing dedication and enthusiasm to the production.
Tammy Oyebanji ’26, a day student originally from Kent, England, is in her third and final year at King’s-Edgehill School. Tammy joined the Senior School play to remain connected to the community and to explore an area beyond academics. She values the teamwork and friendships formed through rehearsals and appreciates the opportunity to express herself creatively. When asked if she would recommend the performing arts, Tammy shared that theatre builds confidence and offers a meaningful way to connect with others. This marks her final performance at KES, and she hopes to make the most of it through shared experiences and lasting memories.
We are also excited to feature Molly Dickinson ’26, a boarding student from Digby, Nova Scotia. Although Molly has been at King’s-Edgehill for six years, she only recently became involved in theatre, deciding to step into the spotlight before graduation. She describes theatre as a fun and rewarding creative outlet and credits her friends for encouraging her to try something new. Molly enjoys immersing herself in character work and understanding her role’s motivations, seeing this experience as both a personal challenge and an opportunity to leave her mark on the KES arts community.
Please join us for this magical and comedic production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, running from April 9–11.
