Strategic Growth and Advancement Officer
About Our Opportunity
This trusted and highly confidential role supports the School’s advancement, campaign, governance, and strategic growth initiatives. Reporting to the Executive Director, Strategic Growth and working closely with colleagues across the School, the successful candidate will coordinate key priorities, relationships, and projects while providing executive and advancement support to senior leadership, donors, volunteers, governors, and the broader School community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide high-level executive support, including calendar management, meeting preparation, correspondence, reports, presentations, action tracking, and confidential records.
- Support the School’s capital campaign and major-gift activity by coordinating prospect information, proposals, briefings, pledge schedules, agreements, meetings, and follow-up.
- Manage accurate processing and documentation of charitable gifts and pledges, working closely with the Business Office to ensure reconciliation and strong financial controls.
- Maintain high standards for the School’s advancement CRM, donor and alumni records, campaign information, reporting, and data integrity.
- Coordinate donor stewardship administration, including acknowledgements, recognition commitments, scholarship and endowed-fund records, memorial and tribute gifts, and reporting deadlines.
- Provide administrative support for the School foundations, campaigns, and other strategic committees.
- Maintain confidential institutional, governance, campaign, gift-agreement, and foundation records.
- Ensure key decisions, commitments, deadlines, and follow-up actions are tracked and completed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5+ years experience in executive administration and governance
- Knowledge of donor stewardship, privacy practices, and campaign administration
- Post-secondary education in business or office administration,
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and follow through consistently
- A warm, professional, service-oriented approach to working with member of the School community
- Excellent written communication, proofreading, and professional judgment
- A high degree of discretion and comfort working with confidential information
- Strong competence with Microsoft 365, spreadsheets, databases and document management
