Admissions
Affording King's-Edgehill
King’s-Edgehill School has developed a Financial Aid and Scholarship Fund to help families who believe in the educational experience provided by the School, but who are unable to meet the full financial commitment. Our goal is to make the cost of a King’s-Edgehill School education affordable to families with expressed need through merit-based scholarships, need-based bursaries, and deferred payment plans. In a typical year, King’s-Edgehill School offers financial assistance to over 35% of the student body. The level of financial support the School is able to offer is based on the availability of funds and information provided by the family.
Guiding Principles for Financial Aid Disbursement
Only families who demonstrate financial need are considered for aid.
The Admissions Committee and the Financial Aid Committee are separate committees. A student’s acceptance or denial to the School is based solely on academic merit and without regard to the need for financial aid.
King’s-Edgehill School is fortunate to have many outstanding applicants. While we try to meet the financial need of all students, admission to King’s-Edgehill School is not a guarantee of financial assistance. Sometimes a financial aid grant may not meet a family’s full demonstrated need. Some students who are admitted may not receive a financial aid award. When financial aid awards are offered, almost all are less than or equal to 40% of the annual tuition.
King’s-Edgehill School treats financial aid requests and grants confidentially and expects that students and their families will do the same.

No. The admission decision is entirely separate and distinct from the financial aid process. A student's acceptance to the school is based solely on merit without regard to the need for financial aid.
All King’s-Edgehill School students are expected to demonstrate diligence in their academic subjects, maintain high citizenship standards, and contribute positively to the school community. Financial aid awards are reviewed annually on the basis of the family’s current financial status. Families are expected to complete a financial aid application each year. Typically, if your financial status has not changed, your grant will remain the same.
Many educators think the impact and value of primary and secondary education on not only the intellect but also the character of a young person exceed that of a college education and are more enduring. Our hope is that students will emerge from King’s-Edgehill School with greater university choices as well as maturity and motivation to take full advantage of what post-secondary education has to offer. Universities attended by King’s-Edgehill School graduates typically have extraordinarily strong financial aid programs to assist families in financing their child's education. The King’s-Edgehill School university counselling office is able to provide guidance in that process.
