Appreciating Creativity and Artistic Expression at the IB Art Exhibition Opening Night

Wow, what a well-attended opening to the IB visual arts exhibition that took place last Thursday, April 11. The Stanfield Dining Hall was buzzing with excitement and conversations! Congratulations to the inspiring group of visual arts students, you should be very pleased with your accomplishments!

The 2024 IB visual arts exhibition is now on display in the dining hall until April 24, 2024. This year’s Senior IB art exhibition features 17 Grade 11 and 12 students’ artwork. Each of these amazing, creative students have been passionately working for the past two years to prepare for this final exhibition and exam.

The exhibition addresses personal and thought-provoking topics, it includes the IB Higher, IB Standard, and academic levels of both Grade 11 and 12 students. Many of the themes that they chose were extremely personal and reflected their passions. These students should be proud of their bravery and their willingness to express themselves in such an insightful and genuine way.

I want to take this opportunity to say congratulations to this IB class. They have been an absolute pleasure to teach, and an inspiration to myself and one another over the past two years. I will miss them dearly.
We hope you enjoy the exhibition.
