Grades 9 and 10 Acrylic Paintings

As we get closer to the end of this term, the Grade 8, 9 and 10 visual arts classes are completing their projects. The Grade 9 class is now working on a clay project and the Grade 10 class is working on a photography project.

For the Grade 9 painting assignment, students were asked to focus on a close-up of their chosen subject. This assignment was influenced by the artist Georgia O’Keefe, and here are a few samples of their acrylic painting projects.

The Grade 10 class focused on layering, under-painting and colour which was inspired by the post-impressionist artists.

I hope you enjoy these works of art!
