KES traveled to familiar territory on Tuesday the 22nd to play the defending provincial champion Park View Panthers. The Panthers may have graduated many of their regular starters from 2014 but still have an impressive line-up that the KES squad found difficult to deal with. The Panthers seemed to move through our midfield with ease in creating many opportunitites right from the opening whistle. Some poor defending and some unfortuate giveaways led to an early 1-0 lead for the Panthers and while KES held on to keep the scoreline the same at halftime, more of the same transpired in the second half. The Panthers continued to cause havoc for the KES backline and unforced errors led to 2 more goals for Park View before adding a fourth near the final whistle. The KES boys struggled to create offensive opportunties although Adrian Danquah was unlucky not to score when he smashed a shot off of the crossbar. Eric Dufour was absolutley phenomenal in nets making at least 5 highlight reel saves. The boys have a lot of work to do before facing PV again on the 29th at home!
