KES Stunned by Horton

KES loses 5-0 to Horton.
The KES soccer team played Horton High School on September 25th. While the weather was excellent and expectations promised an interesting game, seven unfortunate minutes decided the KES team’s fate early. The hosts scored  in the second minute due to individual mistakes in the KES defense. In the next five minutes Horton would sink the ball two more times in the KES goal, which essentially ended the match after ten minutes played. The KES boys tried hard to recover from this early shock but weren’t able to find their way back into the game in the first half. Although the KES team dominated vast parts of the second half, their efforts weren’t rewarded. Kyle Yearwood, Patricio Cisneros’ and Colin MacQuarrie’s attempts just wouldn’t find their way into the Horton goal. Trying to save the day, the KES coaches decided to switch to an overly offensive formation in the last third of the game. Horton used the now available space to strike again in the 75th and once more in the 87th minute. The final result of 0-5 doesn’t reflect the run of play, but that’s soccer.
