The cross-country team braved the windy conditions in Antigonish this past Monday as they competed at the Provincial Championships.   Our senior boys’ team, consisting of Neil MacQuarrie, Adam Strong, Conor Milligan, Chris Ormston, and Jacob Givner represented the school well.  Out of 100 runners, Neil was our top finisher at 61st place.  The intermediate boys’ team, who had finished in 2nd place at Regionals just behind a talented Parkview team, ran valiantly at Provincials where they finished as the 5th place team – the best team result King’s-Edgehill has had at the provincial level in many years.  Led by Ross Traves (11th overall) and Raven Leblanc-Cameron (22nd), this cohesive and competitive team also included Ryley Hughes, Liam McLaughlin, Guillermo Nunez Reyes, Nic Gimenez, and Lukas Twardy.  Finally, junior girl Sierra Lee completed her highly successful running season by finishing 24th out well over 100 runners.  The results by these gritty young runners are excellent and they indicate a promising future for the cross-country running team next year.
