Company Sergeant Major MWO Sierra Phillips '25 and Captain James Skafte Attend Sea Cadet ACR
Our friends at 76 Minas Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps graciously invited us to attend their Annual Cadet Review. To represent King’s-Edgehill School, MWO Sierra Phillips ’25 and Capt. James Skafte attended the inspection on Tuesday. Sierra is a leader in the 254 as Company Sergeant Major of Charlie Company and this year's recipient of the Lord Strathcona Medal.
The inspection took place at the Fort Edward Armouries in Windsor, with Lt.-Cmdr. Aaron O’Connor as the Reviewing Officer. The sea cadets did a fine job with their drill, dress and deportment. The displays were well presented, and the sea cadets were well-versed in seamanship, sailing and marksmanship skills. Along with this, they had a wonderful presentation about the skills and teamwork activities that they participated in during the past training year.
Afterward, we were welcomed to the mess hall, where we had the opportunity to meet and greet the cadets, staff and their commanding officer, Lt. (Navy) Jodi Hunter. Well done to the 76 Minas Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps!
