Highlanders Shine at Nova Tech Meet in Greenwood — Issue 15
Our second Nova Tech meet of the season was held last weekend at CFB Greenwood and hosted by the Greenwood Dolphins Swim Club. Leela Ebert ’32 and Elaura Scotney ’32 represented the Highlanders very well, as both swam personal best times in all of their events.
Leela removed a whopping 14 seconds from her 200m freestyle. She then dropped two seconds in her 100m individual medley before finishing the meet with another best time in her 100m backstroke. Elaura dropped eight seconds in her 200m freestyle and then shaved an additional two seconds from her 100m individual medley. Even better, this swim now graduates Elaura from the Nova Tech program, earning her AA status. She completed her great day with a best time in her 100m backstroke.
This is a busy weekend for Highlander Swimming, as nine swimmers are competing at the AA/AAA Candy Cane Swim Meet in Truro, and one swimmer is competing in Toronto at the Ontario Junior International Swim Meet. Updates next week.
