Stepping Up to Lead: Celebrating Our New Head Students and All Candidates

We’ve just wrapped up the election for our 2025–26 head students, with a strong group of candidates who stepped up to lead and represent their peers.

At last Wednesday’s assembly, head student candidates took the stage with passion and courage to share their vision and why they believed they were the right fit for the role. After much anticipation, we are excited to announce that the new head students for the 2025–26 school year are Ray-Ray Gingras ’26 and Adaure Ojinere ’26! Congratulations to both of them for their hard work and dedication throughout this process. We are confident they will bring enthusiasm and strong leadership to KES in the year ahead.

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to 2024–25 Head Students Gabby Shaw ’25 and Dami Adeniji ’25 for their outstanding leadership this year. Their commitment, hard work, and dedication have made a lasting impact on the KES community, and we are incredibly grateful for their efforts.

A big shoutout goes to everyone who ran for head student – your bravery in stepping forward and putting yourselves out there did not go unnoticed. We know it takes a great deal of courage to campaign, and while not everyone was selected, each one of you have demonstrated leadership that inspires us all. We hope you continue to shine as leaders in our KES community and embrace every opportunity to make a positive impact.

Looking ahead, 2025–26 prefect speeches will take place on Wednesday, May 7. We encourage all students to participate in this important decision for our student leadership team.

We’ve had an exceptional group of student leaders this year, and we are excited for the next generation of KES leadership to emerge!
