Highlanders Baseball Completes US Circuit

This past week the Highlanders baseball team wrapped up their US circuit. The boys played great, advancing to the semi-finals and beating a tough Putnam Science Academy team 2 to 1. Just to put things into perspective, Putnam has 16 seniors on their squad, we have two seniors and five juniors on ours. That being said, we faced a very tough Winchendon School in the semis leading 3 to 2 going into the fourth, but the Winch bats were on fire and just couldn’t be contained.

Overall, a great job by our entire squad. Our all-stars for the weekend tournament were Yasu Hojo '25, Spencer Johnson '24, and Connor Watt '25. Although our US circuit is complete, we head to PEI after school on Friday for a three-game series against the PEI U18 provincial team, and we round out our schedule next week by playing against the Brewers senior team on Tuesday at 7:30 pm at Memorial Park in Kentville. The last game of the season is in Kennetcook against the Hants North 18U AAA team at 6:00 pm. Come out and cheer on our Highlanders!
