KES wins League Game # 1

KES wins an offensive affair in league game # 1.
After their tournamnet win in New Brunswick the weekend before the KES squad was keen to get their regular season underway.  Cross town rivals, Avon View, came to campus on the 18th of September.
KES got off to a poor start after only 1 minute when a corner kick managed to find its way into the back of our goal; however, it was only three minutes later when Kyle Yearwood slotted home his 4th PK of the season to tie the game 1-1.  Hesitation in our own box led to Avon View's second goal but once again KES quickly tied the game through a great individual effort from Diego Pereda.  In the second half, grade 8, Nano Galvan played a brilliant ball through to Patricio Cisneros who scored his first goal of the season for a 3-2 KES lead.  Only moments later however, AV tied the game after a very nice goal from their star striker.  Inigo Vazquez played very well and his hard work down the flank led to captain Cody Ettinger slotting home for a 4-3 KES lead.  Patricio Cisneros scored his second of the match in the dying minutes to seal the victory for the KES squad.  A great start to the season.  Well done, boys!
