On September 25th, King’s- Edgehill was pleased to hold the first cross-country meet of the season. Approximately 135 runners from 13 different schools competed in every one of the divisions. The weather was spectacular and we were very proud of the effort made by all members of our team. Particular mention though should be made of several of our runners. Sierra Lee clinched first place in the Junior Girls’ race while Raven Cameron ran well to secure the second spot in Intermediate Boys. He was followed by two other KES runners in this division, Ryley Hughes and Ross Traves, who came fourth and fifth respectively. Our Senior Boys also proved themselves as strong runners with Devan Dube, fresh from soccer practice, placing third and Adam Strong, taking the 4th spot. His effort was matched by Catherine Rutledge who ran with dedication and finished 4th in Senior Girls. The race would not have been the success it was without the help of the numerous student volunteers whose efforts were very much appreciated.
