AGD #3 2025 Recap at the Centennial Pool — Issue 13

The Centennial Pool in Halifax provided the stage for Highlander Swimming to shine as four of our speedsters raced for gold in the mixed 200-metre freestyle relay. Emery Endres ’28, Lillian Blois ’27, Julien Gingras ’27, and Harvey Hadley ’27 teamed up to take first place among all Nova Scotia teams.

Harvey went on to win two individual gold medals in the 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle, along with a silver in the 200m backstroke, delivering two personal bests along the way. Julien later raced the 200m breaststroke and 100m freestyle, posting the fastest times of his career.

Rowan Francis ’27 cracked the top ten among 133 competitors in the grueling 100m butterfly and improved his personal best by nearly two seconds. Charlotte Casey ’27 had a fantastic meet, racing in three events and earning three best times in the 200m breaststroke, 50m breaststroke, and 100m freestyle. Jude Levangie ’32 made big strides with strong improvements in both his 100m freestyle and 200m individual medley. Laura Napier-Whale ’30 had a standout performance in her 50m backstroke, dropping more than six seconds.

Our Highlanders have three meets on the horizon, with the next Nova Tech competition taking place at CFB Greenwood on December 7.
