Guiding Our Steps Toward Peace: A Tribute at King’s-Edgehill — Issue 12

To recognize the fallen in war, King’s-Edgehill School reverently honours those who attended the school and made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for peace.

The commemorative crosswalk near the school’s cenotaph was initiated by a parent—a retired naval commander—who generously committed time and energy to making the project happen. While a formal crosswalk guides safe passage across a road, this crosswalk guides our thoughts and remembrance toward peace and compassion for humanity, now and evermore. It is fitting that poppies and sentries mark our reflection, for the young men of King’s Collegiate School and for kindness to all. We will remember them.
