Grade 7 Students Discover and Document Life on Brier Island — Issue 8

Our annual Grade 7 trip to Brier Island was an excellent learning experience that combined adventure, creativity, and community connection. Throughout the trip, students produced short documentary films highlighting the island’s local businesses and industries, including the fishery, Brier Island Lodge, the community garden, the General Store, and a local restaurant. In addition to their filmmaking, students explored the island’s trails and coastlines, discovering the rich flora and fauna that make Brier Island such a unique ecosystem. The completed documentaries, which showcase both the island’s natural beauty and the students’ storytelling skills, are now available to view on the King’s-Edgehill School YouTube channel.
