What does Cadets on Wednesday afternoon look like? — Issue 5

To find out what takes place during Cadets, let's see what Platoon 8 and Platoon 12 were up to!

Platoon 8: On Wednesday afternoon, the energetic platoon of Grade 10 cadets took off on the bus to go trekking at Mount Moses. The hike was captured by our Cadet Photographer, Sergeant Connor Mezenberg ‘28. He is a Grade 10 student who went to the Netherlands for Operation Remembrance last autumn. Connor took a number of great photos, including a photo of the lookoff. This scenic hike was led by Mr. John Kennedy and Mr. Kevin Lakes.

Platoon 12: Our youngest cadets in the corps took advantage of the opportunity to learn about marksmanship with an introduction to the air rifle. Range Safety Officer Captain Nicole Hastings oversaw our youngest group, which is all Grade 6 and 7 cadets. Along with Range Warrant Officer Tove Snarby ‘26, Range Sergeant Maran Hawley ‘26, Training WO Skye Hussey ’26 and the platoon leaders, they ensured that the first opportunity for our Grade 6 and 7 cadets with air rifles was a positive experience!

When looking at the photos, you’ll see many smiling faces of friends enjoying the experience of the best day of the week!
