Artists of the Week — Issue 4

Artists of the Week
The arts at King’s-Edgehill School are an inclusive environment that embraces diversity. Not only in who we are, but in our choices of what we pursue, and how we express that choice. Creativity and imagination allow the capacity to develop ideas, solve problems, and provide life skills. Intelligence and creativity are overlapping skills, and through the arts, a person builds confidence, develops perspective, and finds their true nature.

Isaac Henares ‘30, Grade 8
This week we are happy to recognize Isaac Henares as our Artist of the Week for his visual artwork. His piece stands out not just for its visual impact, but for the thought and care he’s poured into its message. Isaac has taken on a meaningful and challenging subject with honesty and creativity, and it’s clear that this artwork comes from a deeply personal place. We are excited to see how it all comes together. Isaac, thank you for sharing your voice. Your effort, courage, and creativity make this school better.

Charlie Boyle ‘27, Grade 11
Charlie showcased her vocal and musical talent, and her leadership at the Terry Fox Run, leading the Grade 11/12 class performance with confidence and energy. She not only MC’ed for the band but also delivered standout lead vocals on many of the songs. Always prepared, professional, and positive, Charlie sets a wonderful example for her peers. Thank you, Charlie, for your outstanding contribution to our school community at this important event!

Calum O’Callaghan ‘27, Grade 11
Calum performed at the first major event of the school year, the Grade 12 and Parent Reception, held at the end of the opening week. He generously gave up his first Friday evening of the year to share his music at this important occasion. Throughout the event, his attitude was professional, yet relaxed, and he was both well-prepared and a pleasure to work with. Calum represented the school with distinction while providing wonderful music that enhanced the evening. We are grateful for his contribution to the social life of our King’s-Edgehill community. Thank you, Calum!
