The First House Colour Wars — Issue 2

Dear KES Community,

This past weekend, King’s-Edgehill School lit up the campus with the first-ever Colour Wars event, an unforgettable day of fun, teamwork, and school spirit. Students from all four houses — Fundy, Osprey, Bluenose, and Sable — came together to compete in a variety of activities, strengthening bonds and kicking off the school year with energy and excitement.

The event began with spirited challenges, including a giant beach ball competition, Fill the Bucket, brain teasers, and Colour the Flag. Each of the houses showcased not only their competitive edge but also their teamwork and creativity.

As the grand finale, the field erupted into a true Colour Wars spectacle. Armed with colour powders, colour bombs, and squeeze bottles, students dashed across the field in a vibrant flurry of laughter and cheers. Clouds of colour filled the air as everyone joined in the celebration, creating a joyful, picture-perfect moment of unity and fun. The day concluded with a community BBQ in the Quad, where students gathered to relax, socialize, and proudly display their colourful shirts as souvenirs of the day.

The inaugural Colour Wars was not only a dazzling display of school spirit but also a wonderful opportunity for students to connect, create memories, and celebrate the beginning of a new year together. Judging by the smiles and laughter, this is sure to become a KES tradition for years to come.
