Support The Mort!

It was an exciting night at the Lower Sackville Arena on Friday as Grade 11 student Cameron Morton ’26 made his boxing debut in front of over 1000 fans. Cameron fought an exhibition match in the heavyweight division and held the upper hand against a much older opponent. His bravery and courage were evident as he stepped into the ring, exchanging punches and showing skills he had learned at his local boxing club.

Cameron comes from a family of boxers, and he carried on the tradition with his family ringside to cheer him on. Also, several members of the KES community enjoyed the evening in support of “Morty’. Cameron and his opponent embraced after the match, illustrating the respect boxers have for each other. His next match is planned against a younger opponent. Cameron has been very devoted to training; therefore, he will surely do well. Best of luck, “Wham Bam Cam!”
