AAA Long Course #3 Swim Meet: Recap

The AAA Long Course #3 swim meet took place at the Dalplex Pool on the Dalhousie campus from May 23–24. Three Highlanders made the trip as a final tune-up before the AAA Spring Championship meet, which will also be held at Dalplex from June 13–15. The Spring Championships will serve as the final opportunity for swimmers to qualify for Team Nova Scotia at the Canada Games.

Harvey Hadley ‘27 had a strong meet, earning personal bests in three of his four events. He won gold medals in the 100m freestyle and 400m freestyle, and took home silver in the 50m backstroke and 1500m freestyle – the latter marking his debut in the longest pool event.

Earning medals was more challenging for Emery Endres ‘28 and Lillian Blois ‘27, as this was a mixed-gender event. Emery’s top finish was 14th overall (eighth among girls) in the 200m backstroke. She also cracked the top 10 in the 100m backstroke. Lillian earned a top 10 finish in the 200m breaststroke and was just outside the top 10 in the 100m breaststroke.

Both Emery and Lillian are now entering their taper phase and are looking forward to significant improvements at the Spring Championships.
