Athletes of the Week

Athletes of the Week (AOW) are selected based on athletic performance and sportsmanship. Positive sporting behaviour is valued at KES and integral to our athletic philosophy and School mission statement emphasizing gentleness, learning, dignity, and respect. These student athletes also reflect the seven principles of “true sport” which states: go for it, play fair, respect others, keep it fun, stay healthy, include everyone, and give back.

For the Week of November 26

Harvey Hadley ‘27: It is fairly well known that Harvey is a champion swimmer; however, last week he stepped out of his comfort zone to compete in his first-ever basketball game with the junior boys. Harvey has the physical attributes and attitude that allowed him to competitively take on some tall adversaries from West Bedford High School. Harvey scored his first basket and grabbed numerous rebounds setting the stage for a great season ahead. As he develops his skills he will be hard to stop and be a great defender. Well done Harvey!

Ali MacLean ‘27:
Ali MacLean had a great weekend of play with the senior girls hockey team. She has been leading by example with her strong defensive play and ability to create chances off the rush. She created key chances that, although were not able to find the back of the net, provided a spark in our lineup that led to back-to-back home victories against the Mount Academy. Keep up the great work Ali!

Renee Olsen ‘25:
Renee was a key contributor in both wins this weekend against rivals Mount Academy. Olsen was involved in all three goals on Saturday's 3-1 win; scoring both, including the overtime winner on Sunday. Great results Renee!

Carter Cooling ‘25:
Playing in his hometown Carter had two goals and an assist in three games this weekend. Carter played a consistent 200-foot game. He is a key member of our power play and our penalty kill. Carter is always engaged and leads through his work ethic and positive attitude. On top of his on-ice play, he continues to excel in his studies as well. He manages his time when away, always keeping up with his work. Great job this weekend Carter!
