Our Highland Hitters!

Our Highlanders softball team won their first softball game against Avon View High School on May 15 at St. Croix ball field with a score of 18-15.

The star of the show was our pitching superstar, Samantha Mayer ‘24, showcasing her developing skills and confidence, striking out many of the AV players and remaining consistent throughout the two-hour game. Key moments in the game included new player Jessica Etou ‘24 on third base tagging an AV player on a non-force play, Gretchen Archibald ‘24 as catcher getting an AV runner out at home plate, and Qiaoman Tracey ‘23, our first base player, hitting a three-run in-field homer!

The team, consisting of mostly new players, is set to play D2 regionals in Middleton on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20. We wish the team good luck!
