Big Wins for KES Junior Debaters

Our debating students participated in a national online debate tournament this past weekend hosted by Lower Canada College in Montreal.

Vincent Armstrong and Danica Scully took top honours with their partners.  Out of the 36 teams from Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and Nova Scotia, Danica (and her partner from Armbrae Academy) advanced to the grand finale, and in a 3-0 judges decision, won the tournament as the top team, and Danica finished 3rd individually.

Special mention also to Vincent Armstrong who also maintained a 4 & 0 win/loss record (along with his partner from Armbrae) to finish as the 3rd place team - - again, out of 36 teams/70 competitors from these 4 provinces.

These are outstanding results on a national stage and both students should be congratulated on representing our School and province so well.
