Grade 10 - Outdoor sketching - “En plein air”

My Grade 10 Art class has been taking advantage of the beautiful weather that we have been blessed with. With their sketchbook in hand, and a class on composition outside with limited materials, students ventured out to capture a few scenes around campus. They discovered beautiful architectural elements as well as the simplicity of a tree stump. They first captured the scene with a pencil, then outlined it with ink (marker) and then added colour with watercolours.  I think they did a very good job capturing a moment in time.
Enjoy.
