We did it! Distance Learning a Success!

We did it!  After nine weeks of KES Distance Learning during this time of global pandemic, we have successfully concluded the 2019-2020 School year.  Who would have thought that a predicted day or two delay after our March break would turn into weeks, and then, ultimately months apart?  Administration and teachers were quick to implement an online programme for all students so that learning could continue each day, and I am pleased to reflect in hindsight that it did.  The learning curve was steep for students and teachers but a supportive and committed approach contributed to the overall success of the plan.  Chapel services, weekly Assemblies, daily fitness workouts and Zoom classes provided regular opportunities for students, families and teachers to stay connected.  On the final afternoon of classes, it was terrific for Grade 7 and 8 students to gather in Zoom rooms with their teachers and classmates to share year-end reflections and summer farewells.  How exciting it was to see and hear everyone.  The hope for an on-campus reunion in September fills our hearts with joy and optimism.  Have a safe and fun-filled summer holiday!
