Greenwood, NS – Mary Margaret “Margie” Belliveau, age 84, of Greenwood, NS passed away on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Boom Road, NB, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Jean (Taylor) Murphy.
Margie was a member of the Queen of Heaven Chapel, Greenwood and the CWL. She loved to bake, especially desserts and was best known for her fudge. Margie was a very kind and soft–spoken lady, who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 61 years, Joseph “Al”, Greenwood; daughter, Betty (Tony) Hynes, Riverview, NB; sons, Paul Belliveau (Marie Wentzell), Mahone Bay; Brian Belliveau (Genevieve Bondy), Ottawa, ON; Glenn (Michelle) Belliveau, Wolfville; sisters, Mary Laura (Roy) MacLean, Miramichi, NB; Ann (John) Jardine, Miramichi; brothers, Paul (Charlene) Murphy, Enfield; Peter (Carolyn) Murphy, Miramichi; Kenneth (Shelley) Murphy, Miramichi; Morrissy Murphy, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Alicia Belliveau, Brianna Belliveau, Brooke Belliveau, Emma Belliveau and Hannah Hynes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Margie was predeceased by brothers, Jack Murphy, Eugene Murphy, and Billy Murphy.
Visitation was from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 22nd in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. toll free 1–855–825–3448. A Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 23rd in Queen of Heaven Chapel, 14 Wing Greenwood, with Father George Helou officiating. A reception for family and friends followed the service in the chapel hall. Private family interment in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Middleton.
