Mamma Mia!

It's an exciting weekend here on King's-Edgehill Campus: It's Mamma Mia! time! I recorded a rehearsal to get some much-needed feedback on the balance of the show, and to give our readers a glimpse of our endeavours in hopes that you might come to see our performance. I have invited Grade 10 student, Sarah Bell, to lend her thoughts.

“Since the first day of school, there has been quite a buzz about this year's production of Mamma Mia!. As a new student to this school, I didn't have any intention of auditioning for this production. But, as I was walking by the theatre, Mr. Smith convinced me to try out. After that, all my doubts of performing were overcome with excitement to get started. Soon after the auditions, we got the cast list and jumped right into choreography, singing, and blocking. Later on, I was asked by Ms. MacLean to help with some of the choreography for the show and, with much excitement, I said yes. Waterloo, the piece that is featured in the video, was choreographed by Katie Goddard (Grade 11). It is one of my favourite routines in this musical by far; it is so upbeat and fun to perform. This year's production will definitely be an experience I will never forget, and I hope it is just as memorable for those who watch it.”
