Edgehill Dominant in First League Game of Season

After completing a number of exhibition games and scrimmages over the past few weeks, the girls were excited to play in their first league game of the year. Although our home pitch was a little wet and muddy, our team's spirits were not dampened. Although it took a few minutes to adjust to the conditions, our girls quickly found their stride and passed, tackled, and kicked with confidence.

It was great to see so many of our players emerge in this game. In our forward pack, Madora Barbour and Johanna Grosse were particularly dominant, while our back line was sparked by two first-year players: grade 12 Georgia Porter from Barbados and grade 9 Angela Funes from Mexico. While these were just a few of the stand-out performances, no one shone brighter on this day than grade 10 Grace Fillmore who is quickly making a name for herself on the pitch!

Trys: Madora Barbour (2), Kenzie Cecchetto (2), Grace Fillmore (2), Georgia Porter, Tea Racozzi

Conversions: Amy Marchand-Dion (4), Georgia Porter

Penalities: Amy Marchand-Dion

Score: KES 53- PVEC 0

Player of the Game: Grace Fillmore
