A Simpler Time

King’s-Edgehill School is proud to introduce its fourth Senior School play production, A Simpler Time, which brings together a group of passionate and dedicated students from Grades 10-12.

A Simpler Time is a collection of short comedies that is presented to you through the wonderful world of time travel. In an hour and a half, you will follow the lives of teenagers Marley, Chris, and Taylor who are desperately looking for a break from their chaotic, modern lives. With the world’s problems weighing heavily on their shoulders, they prepare to use a time machine to find “a simpler time”. They jump from a common household in the medieval ages, to a busy switchboard in the 1940s, and they even find themselves caught up in the future! A Simpler Time is brought to you by enthusiastic and spirited students who are bursting with bright talent.

In preparation for their shows on April 12 and 13, we are excited to present three members of our gifted cast and crew in the weekly newsletter to give you a sneak peek of the incredible talent you can expect to see! We hope you will support them by attending our performances in the spring.

Adaure Ojinere '26
This is Adaure’s second year at King’s-Edgehill and her first year in the Senior School play. She is a diligent cast member, always quick to pick up blocking and with an instinct for portraying her characters. Among other roles, Adaure will be portraying the strong-willed Adelaide in Medieval Medicine. We look forward to seeing her again next year. Break a leg, Adaure!

Sophia Osasere '26
This is Sophia’s Grade 10 year at King’s-Edgehill School. In this year’s play, A Simpler Time, Sophia will be seen onstage playing the role of Mom during the scene A Forest Was This. She always attends rehearsals with a positive attitude and with her lines and blocking memorized for her scene. Sophia is a collaborative and dedicated worker, and we are proud to have her. Good luck Sophia!

Tammy Oyebanji '26
This is Tammy’s first year at King’s-Edgehill. She is in Grade 10 and will be stepping onstage next week as Sarah Two-Shoes and in a couple of smaller roles. As well as being an excellent contributor to the cast of A Simpler Time, she is a very talented addition to the KES debate team. Over the last few weeks, she has proven herself to be a versatile and collaborative member of the cast, always excited to step in and help wherever needed. Break a leg, Tammy!
