Highlanders Hockey Takes on Germany and Austria

The Highlanders boys and girls hockey teams travelled to Europe for a 12-day tour in Germany and Austria. The tour saw both teams play five games each. The girls team went 5-0 and the boys team went 3-2. This trip was more than just a hockey trip, it was a once in a lifetime experience that created memories and friendships for a lifetime.

Some of the trip highlights were getting to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, the Salzburg Salt Mines, the Red Bull Hockey Academy, and playing an outdoor game in Furstenfeldbruck. We also toured Munich, hiked up to the Ski Jump in Innsbruck, Austria, toured around the old city of Ulm, and visited the Dachau Concentration Camp.

KES Hockey is grateful for this learning experience, and we can't wait to go back.
