Preparations Underway for the Annual Cadet Mess Dinner

The pomp and pageantry of a formal mess dinner creates a level of excitement in the cadet corps. The Platoon Sergeants and Warrant Officers who are the senior cadet leaders of the 254 will be attending our annual Cadet Mess Dinner on Tuesday, January 23.

A team of servers is receiving training, a parent support committee is preparing to gather to set up the mess hall and the finer touches are being fussed over for as we near the day of the event. There are candle sticks to shine, fine tablecloths to iron, and trophies to dust off to proudly display at this fine dinner. We’ll pay homage to the Robbie Burns dinner and in fine Scottish form, haggis will be served.

The Commanding Officer of the West Nova Scotia Regiment will grace us with his presence as our guest speaker at the Mess Dinner. It shall be an event to remember.
