Some of our KES Community Authors

What a year 2023 was! As always, our alumni continue to impress us, so to share that success with you, here are some members of our community who published a book in 2023. From finance to science fiction, these authors have some titles you might want to consider for your 2024 reading list!

The Last Act written by Kimberley ’93 and Larry Short is the book for you to learn about wills, estates, and trusts. “It is an essential guide, translating jargon in the industry into plain English, providing simple explanations so that every person can understand the process of writing a will and settling an estate.”

Wink, written by faculty member Kevin Lakes and illustrated by former faculty member Marilyn Curry, is a story for the whole family. “Here comes a unique horse, known to his friends as Wink, with an inspiring true story. Raised to become a racehorse, Wink’s future becomes uncertain when as a foal he becomes permanently disabled. Kindness, good training, and a positive outlook help this standardbred thrive at the track.” Purchase of Wink includes a $5.00 donation to New Start Standardbreds, which helps horses after their racing career.

The result is a newfound ability to channel your emotions and determine your experience of life, with less interference from external factors.”
