Highlanders drop Round of 16 game to Scarborough

Just 2 hours following the Highlanders final round robin win to secure first place in the division they were back in action against the 4th seeded Scarborough Sharks. The extremely quick turnover proved to play a factor as the Highlanders had no legs in the first period but kept the game tied at 0. The second was much better, holding the Sharks to only 3 shots but they were able to capitalize on a breakaway. Wave after wav the Highlanders pushed and tied the game midway through the third but a quick penalty and a timely bounce went the way of the Sharks who were able to hold us off the move on.
