Athlete of the Week
We congratulate Santiago Fernandez Cueto ‘28 on being named Athlete of the Week for October 1-8, 2023.
Santi was quick to establish himself as a skilled offensive midfield player on the team this year. In our opening "A" game of the season, he dominated the midfield play and was a key contributor to several goals, including one of his own. His mature playmaking skills, great fitness, versatile and creative play, and deft ball control make him a great asset to his team and a force to be reckoned with for the opposition. Well done, Santi!
Athletes of the Week (AOW) are selected based on athletic performance and sportsmanship. Positive sporting behaviour is valued at KES and integral to our athletic philosophy and School mission statement emphasizing gentleness, learning, dignity, and respect. These student athletes also reflect the seven principles of “true sport” which states: go for it, play fair, respect others, keep it fun, stay healthy, include everyone, and give back.
