CONNECT, CONVERSE, and CATCH-UP

Starting next week, I will be sharing a weekly written feature in our Newsletter entitled, Connect, Converse, and Catch-Up.

I have been feeling a bit nostalgic lately as I look at all the team photos and images that adorn my classroom wall, depicting former students who have lived and learned at our School.  I have decided to “catch-up” with a former student each week and share aspects of the conversation along with a “video-memory.”

It is always a delight for teachers and peers to hear about the successes, progress, and challenges of their former students as they navigate life after King’s-Edgehill.  One privilege of having a dynamic and diverse career as a teacher in a boarding school is that lasting relationships are made, and memories are shared.

Next week, I will share a recent conversation I had with Dr. John Kielty (1995-99) of Deer Lake, Newfoundland.  Feel free to reach out to me via email if you would like to have a chat. My favorite connection tool is Facetime; however, there are several other options as well. It can all start with an email. Please shoot one to klakes@kes.ns.ca.
