KES Prep visits Marianapolis Prep

KES Prep Girls' Basketball hit the road with some parents and supporters with us for the annual Family trip, which started with a game at long time NEPSAC Class A power Marianapolis Prep in Massachusetts.

The teams were evenly matched and the lead changed hands a number of times througout the first half with the half ending in a 30-29 lead for MPrep. The second half saw the hosts start to heat up from the floor, and out rebounded KES thoughout the balance of the 2nd half. MPrep eventually stretched out their lead to 13 points, which was the difference at the final buzzer, with KES dropping a 70-57 decision to Marianapolis. KES was led by Aaliyah Arab-Smith who had 17 points and Heavyn Beals with 15 and a strong defensive effort across the entire game.

Marianapolis carried their top ranking in New England throughout the season, and capped their year off by claiming the NEPSAC Class 'A' New England Championships in early March.
