  • Calculus 12

Calculus is a Grade 12 mathematics course, in which students study topics such as limits, derivatives, integrals, and practical applications such as velocity and acceleration problems. For IB students, the course contributes to the material tested on the IB math exam. Students who enroll in this course will have an advantage as they head towards university calculus courses.
  • Math Practical 10

This course includes extensions and practical applications of material taught in MAT 10 and MAT 10H.
  • Mathematic Studies 11 - I.B.S.

In Math 11 Academic, students are able to work through the topics at a pace which allows ample time for teacher assistance and practice.  Abstract concepts are discussed, but there is also a focus on practical application.  Topics include polynomials, trigonometry, linear and quadratic functions, statistics and geometry.  The curriculum closely overlaps with IB Mathematical Studies and Studies candidates will enroll in this class in order to prepare for their IB exam in Grade 12.
  • Mathematics 10

In Mathematics 10 Academic, students will learn the essential topics of math 10 at a moderate pace, and will develop strong problem-solving skills.  These topics include number families, algebra, polynomials, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, statistics, and introduction to functions.  By completing this course, students will be prepared to enroll in Math 11 Academic or Math 11 Precalculus in their following year.
  • Mathematics 10 - Honours

Math 10 Honours is intended to prepare students for the rigour of IB SL, HL and Calculus courses in Grades 11 and 12. It is also strongly recommended for those planning to take Physics or Chemistry at the IB level.  The contents of the course include exponents, polynomials, coordinate geometry, linear systems, trigonometry, functions and statistics, all with a focus on sophisticated problem-solving techniques.
  • Mathematics 11

In Math 11 Academic, students are able to work through the topics at a pace which allows ample time for teacher assistance and practice.  Abstract concepts are discussed, but there is also a focus on practical application.  Topics include polynomials, trigonometry, linear and quadratic functions, statistics and geometry.  The curriculum closely overlaps with IB Mathematical Studies and Studies candidates enrolled in this class prepare for the IB exam in Grade 12.
  • Mathematics 11 PC - I.B.H.

Math IB (HL) is a two-year course, which culminates with a three-part IB exam in May of the second year.  The pace of this course is rapid and the level of the material is difficult, requiring that students have ample motivation and strong independent study skills.  Students who complete this curriculum develop thorough knowledge of a wide range of sophisticated branches of mathematics, as well as powerful problem-solving tools, and they will be well prepared for any first-year university mathematics course.  Topics include series & sequences, logarithms, functions, advanced trigonometry, and matrices.
  • Mathematics 11 PC - I.B.S.

Math IB (SL) is a two-year course which culminates with a two-part IB exam in May of the second year. In Grade 11, students study a wide range of topics including quadratic, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions, quadratic, exponential and logarithmic equations, the unit circle and radian measure and statistics and probability. The course continues into Grade 12. By completing the IB standard-level curriculum, students will be well prepared for any university math programme.
  • Mathematics 12

After briefly reviewing topics from Math 11 academic, students will continue to study topics with practical application, and they will develop strong analytical skills.  Topics include statistics, sets, logic, probability, and financial mathematics.  For IB Math Studies candidates, they will finish this curriculum and complete an IB math project before the exam in May.
  • Mathematics 12 PC

In Math 12 Precalculus, students will briefly review material they learned in Math 11 Precalculus before delving into more sophisticated topics such as function transformations, trigonometric functions, series and sequences, and logarithms.  Some students will choose to enroll in Calculus at the same time, which will further prepare them for university math courses.
  • Mathematics 12 PC - I.B.H.

In the second year of the IB Higher Level curriculum, students finish all core topics including complex numbers, vectors, mathematical induction, and probability distributions, as well as the HL optional unit (Statistics). In addition, students complete IB exploration before reviewing for the three-part IB exam in May. Students who complete this course will be well prepared for any first-year university mathematics course.
  • Mathematics 12 PC - I.B.S.

Math IB (SL) is a two year course which culminates with a two-part IB exam in May of the Grade 12 year. In the Grade 12 year of the IB (SL) curriculum, students finish the required topics such as binomial expansion, advanced statistics and probability, sequences and series, and vectors. They will also complete their IB internal assessment, a Math Exploration of their choice. They further develop their review and exam-writing skills and will have time to practise many math IB-related questions in order to be prepared for the IB exam in May. By completing the IB standard-level curriculum, students will be well prepared for any university math programme.
