AA Age Group Development Meet #3 (CFB Greenwood) Recap — Issue 20

A trio of Highlander swimmers travelled to CFB Greenwood for AA Age Group Development Swim Meet #3, held on Sunday, January 25.

Laura Napier-Whale ’30 led the team in both medal count and time improvement. She captured a silver medal in the Mixed 400m freestyle (where girls and boys compete together), cutting more than 13 seconds off her previous personal best. Laura followed that performance with another silver in the Mixed 200m freestyle, lowering her personal best by nearly two seconds. In her final event of the afternoon, she added a third personal best in the 50m freestyle. Impressively, these were not long-standing records—Laura had set all three previous bests just last month at the Candy Cane Meet in Truro.

Charlotte Casey ’27 earned a complete set of medals, finishing with gold, silver, and bronze in the Mixed 100m breaststroke, 50m breaststroke, and 200m breaststroke, respectively. Most notably, Charlotte shattered her personal best in the 100m breaststroke by more than 10 seconds.

Elaura Scotney ’32 opened her 2026 season with a strong performance. She posted a significant personal best in the 100m backstroke and narrowly missed another by just 0.03 seconds in the 100m freestyle. Elaura continued showing strength in the sprint freestyle events, recording a new best time in the 50m freestyle.
Our AAA Highlanders will be back in action over the January break, competing on Friday and Saturday at Dalplex in their opening long-course meet of the season.
