Preparing for Robofest

Students on the King’s-Edgehill School robotics team have been busy this term preparing for the regional Robofest competition at Acadia University this coming February. The game, entitled “Autonomous Taxi”, requires students to build and program an autonomous robot to complete a series of tasks in under two minutes. Tasks include delivering “passengers” (golf balls) to specific “homes” (cardboard boxes with little doors cut out) and “reading” a three-bit binary code to know where to travel. A lot of great progress has been made so far, and I look forward to seeing what the students come up with for the final competition.
